TESOL France Colloquium 2010 "Using Podcasts in ESL Teaching" with Marianne Raynaud

TESOL France organized a fabulous 29th annual colloquium in Nov. 2010. It was an opportunity to network and socialize; David Crystal and his family put on a wonderful "language play" show after David Hill’s lecture; David Crystal entertained us with "From Scrabble to Babble" and Ken Wilson, Russell Stannard, John Corbett, Damian Corcoran, Dennis Davy, Stephen Brewster, Cleve Miller and of course our Internet expert Shelly Terrell all gave fascinating presentations. Linda Gerena, Elisabeth Anne and Jane Ryder also gave thought-provoking talks. To close the colloquium Ben Crystal gave an inspiring talk/performance on Shakespeare and the language of his times.
I wish to thank Bethany Cagnol (President TESOL France) for such an enjoyable event. For those who attended my talk on podcasts and podcasting there’s a PDF with slides from my presentation.

Dear colleagues,

TESOL France organized a fabulous 29th annual colloquium this year with over 50 speakers from 24 different countries. It was a great opportunity to network and socialize with friends. And of course the talks were very interesting.

David Crystal and his family put on a wonderful "language play" show on Friday after David Hill’s lecture on "Extensive Reading".

On Saturday David Crystal entertained us with "From Scrabble to Babble" and Ken Wilson, Russell Stannard, John Corbett, Damian Corcoran, Dennis Davy, Stephen Brewster, Cleve Miller and of course our Internet expert Shelly Terrell all gave fascinating presentations. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend Shelley’s as I was speaking at the same time.

On Sunday I listened with pleasure to Linda Gerena, Elisabeth Anne and Jane Ryder.

To close the colloquium Ben Crystal gave an inspiring talk/performance on Shakespeare and the language of his times.

I wish to thank Bethany Cagnol (President TESOL France) and all the other ExCom members for organizing such an enjoyable event.

For those who attended my talk (and perhaps others) I have uploaded a PDF with slides from my presentation and a PPT with one slide containing links to websites I recommend.
