Why you should buy a Digital ESL Resource Book

There is so much excellent material on the Internet today, so for what reason should a teacher read and use the materials in "QualityTime-ESL: The Digital Resource Book" 2.0 ?

The answer is simple.

With all these excellent teaching materials available, you still need a structure to build a course, your course or that of your team of teachers.

You need to know...

*What will genuinely motivate your students,

*What will make them do their assignments

*What will help them invent sentences of their own.

The chapters of "QualityTime-ESL: The Digital Resource Book 2.0" are designed to assist you in constructing your course by helping you to:

*Give your students clear instructions,

*Schedule their presentations,

*Explain and organize tutorials, i.e., one-to-one sessions,

*Provide concrete examples of what you expect from your students,

*Motivate them to speak about their "passions" and not just "texts,"

*Evaluate their skills both in writing and speaking in a positive way.

As a result, you will encourage them to make progress regularly.

The Document Annex of "QualityTime-ESL: The Digital Resource Book 2.0" contains more than 1,500 files

As the author, I recommend the use of other internet ESL sites. Many offer wonderful documents free of charge. I can suggest for instance for intermediate to advanced students: www.breakingnewsenglish.com, www.esldiscussions.com, www.wordchamp.com or other websites on my page of useful websites.

But remember you want to elaborate a logical structure for your course. You want your students to learn from skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. You would like them to keep their documents from your course (preferably in booklets) as precious references and not just throw away the photocopies at the end of the school year. You want to be able to evaluate them impartially so that they will progress rapidly. All these problems of motivation, organization, language acquisition, and evaluation are discussed in "QualityTime-ESL: The Digital Resource Book 2.0". And don’t forget the Document Annex with more than 1,500 files. Finally, examples of student work will encourage you to use the principle of "teaching by example."
